We were thrilled with the location of the hostel, right on the beach with stunning views of the ocean. The dorm rooms were absolutely beautiful, providing a comfortable and spacious space to relax. The nearby bike rentals allowed us to explore quiet stretches of the beach, creating unforgettable memories. The staff, especially Sachi, made us feel at home and welcomed. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as the broken bathroom lock and lack of furniture, our overall experience at Coppenrath Hostel was superb. I highly recommend this hostel for its prime location, beautiful rooms, and friendly staff.

We had a great start to the New Year at a hotel in the southern coast of Sri Lanka. the complimentary breakfast by the beach was delightful, and we could take snorkelling in the nearby coral reefs. the hotel was situated close to the beach and accessible to nearby attractions. It was comfortable and had spacious rooms with a view of the sea.

We immediately felt at home at the Coppenrath Hostel. The positive and happy vibe created by the family-owned place made our stay unforgettable. The restaurant offers delicious food and drinks, and we enjoyed relaxing on the beach or in the patio. The fresh coconuts and Coppenrath Chiller smoothies were our favorites. Our twin room was comfortable with a clean bathroom and a hot shower if needed. The rooftop yoga classes with ocean views were stunning. The friendliness and attentive service of Sachith and his family made our stay even more enjoyable.

There were some serious safety concerns during my stay as another guest made me feel very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hostel to solo female travelers as there were issues with safety and the staff's response was inadequate.
